Build a Bear

Avayah went to Build a Bear with her friend Braxton! They had such a great time! B showed Vay the ropes on how to make a bear....Avayah created a Panda. She named her Berry and picked out a purple outfit with matching purple flip flops and a pink purse. They even had a purple hair bows to match! B made a fire fighting turtle! Here's a slide show of their trip....

Our Momma Bear

Melisa, Heather, Lacey, & Me

I'm so sad to write this post! So Heather's husband Brandon got a great promotion and they are relocating back to Dallas! I'm thrilled for their family and the opportunity, but the selfish part of me wants my friend to stay rooted in Yukon with the rest of us. A great friend doesn't even describe Heather...she is the one who makes sure we all get to MOPS, have play dates, and keep in-touch...she is an amazing friend! Me and Melisa joked the other day that she was our Momma Bear. What are we going to do without you Heather!?!

We all are going to miss you and Brandon and your sweet spirited kiddos! =) We can't wait to see you all soon!!

Sneak Peek

Sorry I have been neglecting the blog lately...we have done so much this past couple of weeks and frankly I have not been able to keep up!

Here's an overview of our last couple of weeks.....Steve, Melanie (aka Pawpaw & Gramma) & Tay came back for about 4 days for Spring Break! Avayah & Addy got to spend some quality time with their grandparents..while Mom went and had a few drinks (I'm KIDDING!) Granted if they did live closer I would definitely have more Mommy days!

Vay got to go to the zoo with them and got to travel down to Clinton to see lots of family too! Trav got to "get a lure wet" with his Dad & brother all day Sunday! Spring Break was definitely FUN! We were so busy the whole time that believe it or not camera happy me did not snap one pic! =(

Avayah has been going to dance and getting ready for her Dance Recital on May 30th. Their outfits are beyond cute, they are doing a dance to Mary Poppins!!! Vay is really excited!

Addy had her 9 month check-up too. She weighed in at 19 lbs 13 oz! She was 28 inches long! Life has definitely been busy since Adalynne started being mobile! She is a crawling machine...and she pulls up on any and everything...and she can walk behind push carts too! She crys when she sees food and you don't share, and she has definitely starting to show some of her diva personality!

And I recently painted Avayah's room. I have been back & forth about what to her walls...so I started and this is what I have so far...it's just a sneak peek until I'm done! I have a long honey do list for Trav!

A weekend at Grams & Gpa's house!

This weekend the girls and I went to stay at my parent's house. We had so much fun hanging out with Grams, Grandpa, and Uncle Dane! We went to the park, flew Elmo, and played and played so more. Let's just say I came home exhausted!

My mom took the girls to the park and they had a blast. Avayah has fallen in love with these sunglasses she got from her friend Kinley for her birthday. Vay is so diva that when she steps into the sun she has to ask where are my sunglasses mother? That is my second nickname by the way...the first is honey! We also had fun making bubbles too! Let's just say that Vay will not wait for the bubble to completely form, so it would half be ready to take flight and she would pop it! After about 5 minutes of this my mom and me were laughing histaricaly!

Avayah's hightlight was making friends with Charming aka Bart again. (Charming is her kitty we had to give to my parents because we found out Vay is allergic). By day two when he would see her he would literally dart in the opposite direction. And by the end of the trip I think he was in hiding from being smothered by Vay. It brings a smile to my face because this is my sweet Vay. She has so much love to give that sometimes it's even overwhelming for prince charming! =)

We did so much I could go on and on....but this is my third post tonight and my fingers are giving way. So thank you mom for a great much needed trip to your retreat! I love you tons and my girls love spending time with their grams & grandpa! You guys are the best!!!

Madison's Birthday

Last weekend Avayah's friend Madison turned 3! We celebrated at Chuckie Cheese. Avayah had a blast, she got to play games with her daddy & friends. I think she was a little obsessed with the token situation. She kept asking Trav, "Where is my money!?" She was a little scared of Chuckie though. We could only watch him from a distance.

Trav and I realized that this might be a sign that our child watches too much television. When we were parking the car infront of Chuckie Cheese, Avayah asked, "Where are we?" So we told her Maddy's Birthday at Chuckie Cheese. She then stated, "Chuckie Cheese, where a kid can be a kid!" That is definitely a commericial ad! Okay summer can't get her fast enough so I can get more poor kids out of this house!!!

We are so glad that Avayah has a friend like Madison!! Happy Birthday Miss Maddy!

Free Spirit

Last week while the weather was nice Trav, the girls, and I headed out to go to the park. Trav and Vay fished for a little while Addy and I watched at their success of catching one catfish! Not enough for dinner, but an ample catch! (I'm kidding!)

Vay got to play some golf and we fed ducks and geese (who weren't too impressed with our bread) too. We had to keep telling our free spirit child Avayah not to throw the bread so hard. Being that she likes to keep her feet glued to the waters edge, Trav and I were so worried that she was going to throw so hard that she would catapult herself into the pond's icy water! If that happened we were sure to have a meltdown. ~sidenote-Vay hates for her clothes to be wet..whether it's a dot of spilled milk on her shirt or doused with water she can't stand for her clothing to be wet!

Then of course the trip was cut short when the cold front blew in, only in Oklahoma! Here are some highlights...
