Arts Festival in Bricktown

The girls and I went with some friends to the Arts Festival in Bricktown earlier this week and loved it! The weather was amazing, I think everyone had the idea to go!

Avayah had so much fun getting to run around the park with her friend Madison. She probably went up and down the hill we were on 50 times! She loved getting her face painted. She decided to get a beautiful butterfly and sat so still while a really sweet girl painted it on. We also ate some yummy funnel cake too! I think Avayah would say the best part was getting a balloon, which 5 minutes after getting it she sent it to heaven!

Addy had so much fun hanging out with the big girls. Mostly she just quitely observed the girls while she snacked on her graham crackers. Every once and awhile she would talk her gibberish to them...too cute!

Myriad Gardens

When we went to the Arts Festival in downtown...we went through the Myriad Gardens. The girls and I loved the waterfall, coy pond, and the gorgeous plant life! The humidity in the gardens was to the point of unbearable though!

What a mess

Lately Addy is so independent that she cries when we try to feed her her baby food. So the other morning after many failed attempts that resulted in tears shed from my sweet Addy Grace I just set the bowl in front of her and let her go at it.
sidenote--Yes I did have a Thanksgiving bib on her even though it's not the season, but whenever Addy eats it's definitely feast time so looking back at the pictures it seemed appropriate! =)

Easter 2009 Part II

After the egg hunt we all came home and decorated eggs and painted! Avayah loves to paint, so it was especially fun to have Grammi & Courtney there to help create a masterpiece! Here are some pics of our artistry....

Easter 2009 Part I

We celebrated Easter on Saturday with my Mom and sister, Courtney! We had such a great time. We took Avayah and Adalynne to an Easter Egg Hunt at a local farm. They had a million eggs so it was excellent hunting!!! Avayah was so excited to meet up & hunt with her friend Braxton! They had a great time!

They also had the OU Mediflight there and Avayah loved getting to see it! When we were walking in they had a lady from an exotic animal "shelter" and she was carrying a baby kangaroo....so Avayah couldn't stop petting the little kangaroo...it was soo cute! Here a some pics I took while we were there...

Color Galore!

So most mornings that I'm putting on my make up, Avayah comes right up to the counter with her sweet little face and prying little fingers trying to swipe some of my make up. Ulitimately her plan is to swipe it then probably make a dash to her closet and rip it open and cake her face in it as fast as she can before "fun spoiler Mommy" comes after her...what can I say she just loves make up! I can't say I blame her, I LOVE make up too!

So I found an old compact with tons of eye shadows, blushes, and lip glosses too! She had so much fun playing in it, the end result was colors galore on her face!

Peek-a-Boo

Addy is learning how to play peek-a-boo and it's hilarious! Instead of covering her eyes she covers her ears or half of her face!

All you have to say is...where's Addy? and her hands go up. Here's some pics of her playing peek-a-boo with her Gramma on a video (webcam) call.

Easter Party

Melisa hosted a wonderful little Easter party for the girls! They had so much fun together...they got to paint ceramic little bunnies, color giant Easter eggs, and exchange baskets too! We had a blast...Thank you Melisa for a great party!

Exchanging baskets & eating some candy!

Princesses dancing with Daddy!

So I'm thoroughly convinced that my sweet Avayah believes that she is a princess and she is going to marry his royal highness (aka her Daddy). Ever since she got addicted to fairytale movies she always says that she is the princess and she is going to be married to Daddy.

She'll say I quote, "you won't be married to daddy, just me mommy, and I'll wear the beautiful wedding dress like my barbie and you won't wear one mommy!" So until she figures out otherwise, Travis just eats it up and plays along!

When Avayah dances with her daddy it's serious business....she has to get her slippers and hold her shirt out like a dress, it's soo cute! She has to be spun, swirled around, and dipped too!

Addy even got in on the fun and loved it!

Addy & Lulu

Addy and Lulu are living in the same house but really have no clue about the other. Ever since we brought Adalynne home Lulu (btw she is our black lab) has really just ignored her. She may sniff & lick every now and then, but mostly it's like she wasn't interest in her.

Well...since Adalynne has become mobile it's a whole different story. Some days I feel like Lulu is a little confused and maybe thinks Adalynne is a/or her puppy. I think what gives it away is that she follows her everywhere, obsessed with smelling her literally 24/7, lays beside her protectively, tries to bath her constantly (yuck I know!).

Adalynne on the other hand goes back and forth whether she likes Lulu or not. Most days it's funny when she gets Lulu's big wet tongue across the face while other days it's absolutely terrifying!

So yesterday while big sister was sleeping Addy & Lulu were playing together in the living room and I snapped some pictures....
