Summer Fun

Finally it's warm enough to start playing outside in the pool....so yesterday Trav and Avayah played all afternoon outside in the water while Addy napped and I got some much needed sun.

They even got me with some water balloons which was SO NOT FUNNY! (have I mentioned that I don't like playing with water balloons, water guns, buckets of water, etc....UNLESS there's a truce that no one will throw one or dump water on me...I know not fair, but I think Mommy's should not fall into the fair game category when it comes to water fights.

Although my wonderful, fabulous husband does not think so-for example several times since we've been married when he randomly decides to throw a pitcher of COLD WATER on ME while I'm in the shower enjoying hot water, not like mild hot, it's the scalding hot that turns you blotchy pink when you get out of the shower. Freezing water and the hot blotchy kind do not mix. And to top it I have no clue it's coming either, so instantly after I overcome the shock and trying not to scream obscenities at him...I AM MAD! And of course there's Travis on the floor of the bathroom crying because he is laughing so hard!

Every time that I have tried to get him back for some reason he just always happens to know I'm coming with a pitcher of cold water. So he's prepared and just as I raise the pitcher to come over the door he flings the door open and tilts it where the whole thing ends up soaking me! So what do you know I'm MAD again! It's just not fair...I've decided I need a new plan to get him back so if you have any ideas LET ME KNOW! =)


Back to the point Avayah loves loves loves to play in water, so a big pool is the ultimate for her and especially to have her Daddy playing with her definitely equals a fabulous time!! We all are definitely loving life!

Dane's Graduation

My baby brother, Dane just graduated high school this past Friday. I can't believe that he is going to be starting out in the "real" world in just a few months. This is the last of my siblings to graduate and I don't know what my mom is going to do without Dane being there to rock out with her on Guitar Hero-World Band?! lol Or the girls and I coming to visit and he's not there for Avayah to play with! Dane is going to be attending WOSC in Altus this fall. I'm so proud of him and I know that he's going to do great!!
My grandmother- as Avayah's says, "it's Vay's new grandmother" flew in to attend Dane's graduation. The girls and I had such a fabulous time getting to see her. Avayah & Adalynne just loved her to pieces too! My brother Johnny was able to come to so after Dane's Graduation we all sat around my mother's table and told hilarious childhood stories til 12 a.m! There is definitely alot of stories to tell when you have 3 other siblings!
We had such a great weekend visiting my mom's. I think Avayah would have replaced me with my mom aka Grammi if she could. Thank you mom for being such a great Mom & Grammi! We love getting to visit you!

Alabama Vactions 2009

We went to Alabama last weekend through this past Wednesday to visit Trav's parents (Steve & Melanie) & sister (Taylor). The trip started with an eventful plane ride...we went through some horrible storms while trying to land in Birmingham...very frightening when you have your babies with you on a plane that can't land! But God graced us and finally after being an hour delayed in air we made it in!

The trip was absolutely a wonderful one! The girls got to make special memories with their grandparents and Auntie Tay! Trav got to fish his little heart out with his best friend-his Daddio! I got lots of R&R, thanks to Melanie! The scenery in Alabama is just gorgeous too!

Thank you guys for being such gracious hosts & loving parents-grandparents....we loved it all! Here are some highlights of the trip...

Addy was so amused to find her reflection in the trash can. She just kept laughing and trying to touch her face!

Dinner at Redrock

Last night I got to go out to dinner with one of my favorite friends..Kaylee. We went to Redrock on Lake Hefner and had so much fun! The food was yummy!!!

While I was at dinner, Trav called and said that Avayah was making him dinner. She told him just go sit down and relax dad I'm going to make you dinner, don't you worry! The things she comes up with...

An Adventure at the Sam Noble Museum

Last Saturday the girls and I headed down to Norman with our friend Julie and her daughter Madeline to go to the Sam Noble Museum. The girls had such a great time exploring.

We only had one incident where Avayah had her body half way through the gate/fence to get in to one of the dinosaur exhibits before we caught her!
